Currently, Calm and Collective Therapeutics is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist contractor to join our team and provide specialized therapy services with flexibility in scheduling as well as Telehealth or in person opportunities based on your preference.

Job Overview:

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist contractor, you will be an essential part of our team, providing expert-level therapy services to our clients. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, offering therapy sessions, and creating individualized treatment plans for each client. This position has a minimum hour requirement, however scheduling and client panel load is determined by the therapist. This is a contracted position (1099) and the candidate would not be considered an employee of Calm and Collective Therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' emotional, relational, and psychological well-being.

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions in a confidential and supportive environment.

  • Collaborate with clients to establish realistic and achievable therapeutic goals.

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.

  • Offer guidance and support to clients in managing and resolving conflicts, communication issues, and other relationship challenges.

  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.

  • Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional boundaries in therapy practice.

  • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and ethical guidelines in the field of marriage and family therapy.

  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and seek opportunities for professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Current state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Hawaiʻi.

  • Certification from a recognized professional organization, e.g., AAMFT, HPA.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or clinical setting is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and professional boundaries in therapy.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.

  • Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

  • Knowledge of diverse cultural and family dynamics, and a commitment to providing inclusive and culturally sensitive therapy.
